In 2018, Alves founded and curated a small but delightfully "Instagramable" gallery. Alves simply painted and added track lighting to 7' x 15' former storage closet on the second floor of the Western Avenue Lofts - a live/work space for artists in Lowell, MA. With this simple makeover, the gallery came alive as a space to feature contemporary works of art in Lowell, MA. Alves curated the gallery through 2021 after which the gallery was passed on to artist Antoinette Inge who has continued curating the gallery well into 2026.
