Children bear the weight of any culture's idealogical battles. They are the "future." Adults therefore use them as proxies to carry forward their own beliefs.

Children have been murdered, locked in cages, denied basic resources like toothbrushes and healthy food. They are controlled by limiting the types of information they are allowed to encounter in classrooms and libraries.

They are forced to drill like soldiers to protect themselves from the inevitability of yet another school shooting. They are faced with a deteriorating climate future. 

The work in this series originates from this position of shame.
